Tech Source GDS participated in the second edition of the Jeddah FP&A Summit 2026, contributing to a panel discussion titled “Building the Winning Finance Team.” The session explored ways to develop financial teams, enhance their efficiency, and foster workplace environments built on collaboration, trust, and professional accountability.
The panel was moderated by Dr. Shima El-Shinawy, Deputy CEO of Tech Source for Business Development, and featured Dr. Mohamed Elrouby, alongside Ghassan Abweh, Khalid Alhashish, and Mohammed Elmorsy.
Discussions focused on the requirements for building financial teams capable of adapting to changes in the business environment while balancing employee development with day-to-day operational demands.
The panel also highlighted the importance of fostering a culture of accountability without undermining trust, while encouraging employees to share knowledge, ask questions, and challenge assumptions—practices that contribute to better financial decision-making and improved organizational performance.
Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Chairman of Tech Source GDS, said the company’s participation in the summit reflects its commitment to developing business services and financial solutions, while strengthening the exchange of expertise with specialists across regional markets. These efforts, he noted, support organizations in adapting to changing economic and operational conditions.
He explained that the role of finance departments has evolved beyond preparing reports and tracking historical results to include supporting strategic decisions, analyzing performance, anticipating risks, and identifying growth opportunities. This shift requires teams that combine technical expertise and analytical capabilities with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across different business functions.
Abdel Wahab emphasized that investment in human capital and technology is fundamental to advancing financial outsourcing, financial planning, and analysis services. Companies that successfully combine specialized expertise with technology-driven solutions, he said, are better positioned to deliver greater value to clients and strengthen their competitiveness in Egyptian and regional markets.
He added that Tech Source is working to develop an integrated portfolio of business services encompassing outsourcing, financial solutions, and business development. The company’s approach aims to help organizations improve operational efficiency, strengthen decision-making processes, and make better use of their resources and capabilities.
Dr. Mohamed Elrouby, CEO of HOFT Academy, said financial planning and analysis (FP&A) have become fundamental pillars of corporate management, as businesses increasingly require accurate, flexible decisions informed by data analysis and a clear understanding of economic and operational developments.
He explained that a financial team’s effectiveness is measured by more than technical expertise. Its ability to translate data into actionable insights, collaborate with different departments, and provide forecasts that help management assess performance, identify risks, and uncover growth opportunities is equally important.
Elrouby added that building successful finance teams requires continuous investment in technical and leadership skills, alongside a workplace culture grounded in teamwork, accountability, and trust. Such an environment enables professionals to exchange knowledge, challenge assumptions, and contribute to more effective decision-making.
He also highlighted the role of collaboration between business development and financial training specialists in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, helping prepare professionals to meet the evolving needs of regional labor markets.
Tech Source’s participation in the summit reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its presence within the FP&A community, expanding engagement with experts and specialists, and keeping pace with developments reshaping the role of finance departments within organizations.
The participation also underscored the importance of integrating human capital development with technology and specialized expertise as a means of improving organizational performance and advancing business services across regional markets.
Tech Source operates under the slogan “And the Impact Remains,” reflecting its commitment to delivering sustainable value to clients by strengthening operational and managerial capabilities, investing in people, and providing services aligned with organizations’ needs and growth ambitions.
