Indrive launches new safety standards to ensure the safety of drivers and users

As part of its unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of drivers and users, Indrive has launched a new package of protection and security measures across its platform in Egypt, providing users and drivers with greater protection during every trip. The Indrive app begins activating security measures as soon as a new account is created, requiring drivers to upload all documents, including a valid driver’s license. At the same time, passengers are required to verify their identity by registering and confirming their phone number. The app stores all information securely and can be provided to Egyptian authorities upon official request.

Indrive continues to verify and monitor security measures long after registration. Drivers are required to provide a selfie, which is automatically compared to the original registration photo, and to send an updated photo of their vehicle to ensure its model and condition match the registered data. Any discrepancy in the data will result in the app being immediately suspended, and a support team will conduct an immediate investigation.

The Safety Charter section of the Indrive app features four key protections. It allows users to share trips by broadcasting live trip details, such as route, vehicle information, and estimated arrival, to up to five trusted contacts. A prominent SOS button on the trip interface allows immediate contact with police or ambulance services, displaying everything needed to request assistance. Users are reminded of safety and security guidelines for each option, accessible at any time through the “Shield” icon.

Indrive removes accounts that violate safety standards and encourages users to read reviews before requesting a ride and leave honest and accurate reviews after the trip. This feedback directly contributes to safety. The Safety Charter requires every user and driver to use these tools, share accurate feedback, and help maintain a safe delivery network for everyone.
