Huawei Showcases Digital Power and Clean Energy Solutions to Support More Efficient and Sustainable Mining Operations in Egypt

Huawei is participating in Egypt Mining Forum 2026 for the first time, bringing its digital power and clean energy expertise to Egypt’s mining sector and showcasing an integrated portfolio of solutions designed to support more reliable, efficient, and sustainable mining operations. Held on September 28 and 29 in the New Capital under the patronage and with the attendance of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and hosted by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the forum provides Huawei with a platform to demonstrate how its technologies can address key energy needs across the mining sector, from providing reliable power including off-grid locations to advancing electrification, improving energy efficiency, and supporting the digital infrastructure required for modern mining operations.
This marks Huawei Digital Power’s first engagement with the mining sector in Egypt, reflecting the company’s focus on extending its expertise in digital power and power electronics to an industry where reliable energy supply and operational efficiency are critical, particularly across remote locations and areas beyond traditional electricity grids. Through its participation, Huawei is introducing its technologies to mining companies and industry leaders in Egypt and highlighting their potential to address energy challenges and support the sector’s transition toward more efficient, resilient, and sustainable operations.
At the forum, Huawei is showcasing a portfolio of advanced Huawei Digital Power solutions designed to enable more efficient management, monitoring, and optimization of energy resources. These solutions include:
• Smart PV and Grid-Forming ESS: Enabling more reliable and resilient power supply, particularly for remote and off-grid mining sites, by leveraging solar power and energy storage to support operational continuity.
• Smart Charging Network: Supporting the transition toward electric transportation and the development of smart and efficient charging infrastructure, in line with the mining sector’s move toward transport electrification and greater energy efficiency.
• Data Center Facility & Critical Power: Providing reliable and efficient infrastructure for data centers and the digital systems and applications that underpin modern mining operations.
• Site Power Facility: Supporting reliable and efficient power supply and management across sites, while enhancing energy efficiency and enabling the use of renewable energy sources and energy storage solutions.
Through this integrated portfolio, Huawei highlights the role of digital power in bringing together renewable energy sources, energy storage systems, power electronics, and digital technologies within an integrated energy ecosystem. This convergence can help mining operations optimize energy management, enhance power reliability, improve equipment and operational efficiency, and advance the electrification of operations, while supporting efforts to reduce reliance on conventional energy sources and associated emissions.
